What is Silgranit and how does it compare to stainless steel?

Silgranit is Blanco's granite composite, made largely from natural granite. It is quieter than steel, does not show water marks in the same way, resists heat and scratches, and holds its colour because the pigment runs through the material. Stainless steel remains the choice where you want a fully flush or undermounted bowl in a very minimal kitchen.

Can the sink be undermounted in my worktop?

Yes, in Dekton, Silestone, Systemo stone and ceramic and Corian tops. Corian can also take a seamlessly bonded or integrated bowl. Solid wood and laminate tops are usually better with an inset or flush-fitted sink.

What is the BLANCO UNIT?

It is Blanco's modular approach to the sink area - sink, tap and under-sink organisation designed together as one waterplace. Most individual components are UNIT-compatible, so you can add or upgrade parts later.

Do you fit the sink and tap?

Yes. We template the worktop with your chosen sink and tap in hand, cut and fit everything, connect it up and test it, anywhere in Scotland.

The most complete Silgranit waterplace

Blanco's newest Silgranit family, designed around how the sink is actually used rather than around the bowl alone. A folding grid doubles as a cutlery dryer or a worktop coaster, and the multifunctional colander slides across the bowl, so washing, draining and prep all happen in the same square metre. Available in eight Silgranit colours from coffee brown and anthracite through to soft tartufo and warm volcano grey.

Blanco Andano

The stainless steel bestseller

Straight-lined stainless steel bowls with tight corner radii, a neat C-overflow and a fully usable flat base, which is why Andano remains Blanco's most specified steel range. The drainer versions put the tap ledge to one side, so the sink still works in front of a window. Single, one-and-a-half and double bowl layouts, undermounted or flush-fitted.

Blanco Claron

Minimal steel with 10 mm radii

The most architectural of the steel bowls: corner radii of just ten millimetres and nothing else added, which suits handleless German cabinetry particularly well. Selected models come in Durinox, a velvety matt stainless surface that is noticeably more scratch resistant than standard satin polish. Chopping boards and colanders are cut to fit each bowl.

Blanco Subline

Undermounted, and almost invisible

A large bowl in a compact footprint, with a straight-lined geometry that all but disappears under the worktop. Subline is the natural choice where the worktop should read as one uninterrupted surface, in Silgranit or in glazed ceramic for classic and in-frame kitchens. Low-divide models let you rinse in the main bowl while vegetables drain in the second.

Blanco Etagon

A second working level in the bowl

Etagon builds a step into the bowl, which creates a genuine second level. Rails sit on the step and hold pans, steamers, boards and colanders, so vegetables go straight from board to pan without crossing the worktop. The bowl underneath is still large enough for baking trays. Available across all three Blanco materials.

Blanco Axia III

Ergonomic prep along both axes

Axia III is the prep-focused Silgranit sink. The wooden chopping board slides along the length of the sink and can sit fully or partly over the bowl, so you can work directly into pots below, while the multifunctional colander uses the width of the bowl. Generous drainer area doubles as extra worktop when the kitchen is busy.

Blanco Metra

Flat rim, deep bowl, any kitchen style

The all-rounder. Metra pairs a very flat rim with a large deep bowl, so it sits quietly in both modern and classic kitchens, and the wide draining area works as extra prep space. Every model is reversible, so the bowl can go left or right late in the design, and flushmount versions are available for stone and Dekton tops.

Blanco Elon

Big capacity in a small footprint

Elon's wave-shaped drainer gives it an unusually generous bowl for its overall size, which makes it a good answer in smaller Edinburgh kitchens and galley layouts. It is reversible, and the tap ledge sits to the side so the sink can go under a window. A moveable stainless steel drainer grid is included.

Dalago is built around a single spacious bowl, for households that wash large pans, trays and oven shelves rather than using a second bowl. A solid beech chopping board sits in several positions on the rim, and a stainless crockery basket, corner caddy and drainer add function without taking worktop space.

Blanco Collectis

Waste sorting built into the sink

Collectis puts a covered sorting compartment in the middle of the sink, so peelings and trimmings are collected as you work and emptied once, rather than carried across the kitchen. The optional wooden board sits over the compartment so you can prep straight into it, and the compartment clips into a Blanco Select or Flexon II under-sink waste system.
