Free design and itemised quotation

Kitchen designers for Glasgow

We design kitchens for Glasgow homes from our Edinburgh studio - one designer on your project from first sketch to handover, working from your plans, measurements or a survey visit. Design and quotation are free, itemised line by line, and there is no obligation to order.

Start your Glasgow kitchen design

Send plans, a floor plan or measurements and photographs of the room. We will come back with a design and an itemised quotation, and arrange a survey before anything is ordered.

  • Showroom at 24 Dalziel Place, Edinburgh EH7 5TP - by appointment only.
  • Family run since 1983, covering all of mainland scotland. We reply within one working day.
Attach plans, sketches or photos (optional)

Up to 5 files, 15MB each. PDF, JPG, PNG or HEIC.

We'll only use your details to respond to this enquiry. No sales calls, ever.

How the design process works

It starts with the room and how you use it, not with a cabinet catalogue. We want measurements or plans, photographs, and an honest account of how you cook, who else is in the room, what you hate about the current kitchen and what your budget actually is. Designing without a budget wastes everybody's time.

From there you get a plan, elevations, and a quotation itemised line by line so you can see what every cabinet, fitting, worktop and appliance costs. Revisions are expected - most projects go through several rounds before anything is ordered.

Designing for Glasgow rooms

Tenement kitchens are usually about winning storage back from an awkward footprint while respecting high ceilings and original features. Southside semis and bungalows are often about the layout: whether to take in a rear return, move a door, or open through to a dining space.

In larger suburban homes the design question is normally how the kitchen relates to the rest of the ground floor - island seating, a butler's pantry to hide the working end, a boot room off the back door and a utility that takes the noise.

Four cabinetry options, one designer

Impuls German cabinetry covers several price groups in handled and handleless styles. Cameron Bespoke handmade cabinetry is built in our own Edinburgh joinery, in-frame or lay-on, hand-painted to any colour and sized to the millimetre. Schüller and Nobilia are available through our sister company.

That means a Glasgow project can compare three German manufacturers and a handmade option without visiting four showrooms and being sold four different stories - the same designer prices all of them against the same room.

Common questions

Is the kitchen design free?
Yes. Design, quotation and survey are free with no obligation to order.
Can you design a Glasgow kitchen remotely?
Yes. Most of our Glasgow design work happens by video call and email from your plans or measurements, with a survey visit to confirm everything before ordering.
Will I deal with the same designer throughout?
Yes. One designer stays with your project from first drawing to handover rather than passing you to a separate installation office.
Can you design around building work?
Yes, and we can carry it. Electrics, plumbing, plastering, flooring and decoration are handled in house, so the design accounts for the real programme.
How long does design take?
Usually a few weeks of back and forth. From order, expect roughly 5-6 weeks before installation, then two to four weeks on site.
