In a large Perthshire kitchen the risk is a lot of walking. We plan a cooking zone, a wet zone and a serving or seating zone so that each has its own storage, rather than spreading one long run around the walls.
Tall German larder units, deep pan drawers and an island with usable clearance on all sides do more for a big room than an extra bank of wall cupboards.
