Impuls German kitchens · PG01
The entry point into Impuls. A matt melamine door in 14 colours, from soft neutrals to concrete effects, with softly rounded matching edges all round.
Please note: IP 1200 uses a thinner 16 mm door - the slimmest front in the Impuls collection. Every other range steps up to 19 mm.

Construction
IP 1200 is a melamine resin coated front built on a 16 mm chipboard core. A decor paper is impregnated with melamine resin, then pressed onto the board under heat and pressure so the surface fuses to the panel rather than sitting on it as a film. That is why the finish is hard wearing, colour stable and easy to wipe clean - useful in a busy family kitchen and in Scottish flats where the kitchen doubles as the dining room.
The door is cut to size and all four edges are wrapped in a matching edge band with a soft radius, so there is no dark line where the front meets the edge. Because the coating is matt rather than gloss, it holds fingerprints far less than a lacquered or acrylic front, and small scuffs are much less visible under low winter light.
The 16 mm door thickness is what keeps IP 1200 in the entry price group. It is a genuinely durable kitchen, but the slimmer door and melamine surface mean it will not take deep repairs in the way a lacquered or veneered front can.
Best suited to: Rental refurbishments, first kitchens, utility rooms and anyone who wants a solid German carcase and drawer system with the budget held in the front.
