Construction
IP 4250 is the framed, shaker style front in the Impuls programme. The door is machined from a single MDF panel rather than being jointed from separate rails and stiles, so the frame and centre panel are one piece with no joints to open up as the room heats and cools. In an old Scottish house with big swings in humidity, that is a real advantage over a five piece door.
Once machined, the door is sanded, primed and spray lacquered in the same multi coat process as IP 4050, with the profile shoulders flatted between coats so the paint does not build up in the corners. The result reads as a painted timber shaker door but behaves like an engineered one.
Because it is a framed door with a defined edge, IP 4250 is offered with handles only - a knob, cup handle or bar is part of the look, and there is no handleless grip version.
Best suited to: Period Edinburgh and Glasgow properties, cottages and steadings where a painted classic kitchen suits the house but you still want German cabinetry inside.
