Two kitchen lines, one team

Homes in Glasgow get the same two choices as everyone else we work with: Impuls German kitchens for precision-engineered, built-to-order cabinetry, or our own bespoke handmade kitchens, hand-built in the Edinburgh joinery where we began in 1983.

We also design, supply and fit the worktops, sinks, taps and appliances, and handle the carpentry, electrics, plastering and building work. One team is responsible for the whole job, with one point of contact from first drawing to final handover.

Glasgow is a straightforward run from our Edinburgh workshop, and we cover it as standard with no travel surcharge on installation. Typical lead time from order is 5-6 weeks, and every installation carries our 5-year guarantee.

  • Larger detached homes around Bearsden, Newton Mearns and Bothwell

Places we cover in Glasgow

West End, Hyndland, Shawlands, Newton Mearns, Bearsden, Milngavie, Giffnock, Bothwell, Pollokshields, Dennistoun and everywhere between. If you are outside this list we almost certainly still cover you - we design and install across all of mainland scotland.

How we work in Glasgow from an Edinburgh base

The honest version: our showroom and joinery are in Edinburgh, and a good number of our Glasgow clients never set foot in either. Design starts from your plans or measurements, runs by video call and email, and we survey the room in person before a single cabinet is ordered.

Installation is carried out by our own team, who travel across as standard - there is no travel surcharge on Glasgow work, and no subcontracted fitters picked up locally for the week. If you would rather see the cabinetry, worktops and appliances in person first, the run through to Dalziel Place takes about an hour and appointments are one-to-one.

Glasgow tenements, semis and larger suburban homes

Red and blond sandstone tenements in the West End, Hyndland and Dennistoun bring generous ceiling heights and almost no square walls. That suits our bespoke handmade line, where cabinetry, cornice and scribed panels are made to the room rather than trimmed to fit. Tall units can be planned to use the full height instead of leaving a dust shelf at the top.

Interwar semis and bungalows in the southside - Shawlands, Giffnock, Newton Mearns - usually gain most from reworking the layout: taking in a rear return, moving a door, or opening through to a dining space. Larger detached homes in Bearsden, Milngavie and Bothwell are where full-programme projects tend to land: kitchen, island, butler's pantry, boot room and utility in matching finishes.

German or handmade for a Glasgow kitchen

Impuls German cabinetry is built to order in Germany with the internal fittings that make a kitchen work day to day, in handled and handleless door styles across several price groups. Our own handmade cabinetry is built in the Edinburgh joinery, in-frame or lay-on, hand-painted in any colour, and sized to the millimetre.

Schüller and Nobilia are available through our sister company, so a Glasgow project can compare three German manufacturers alongside a handmade option before committing - and all four are designed by the same team rather than by four separate showrooms.

Everything around the kitchen, too

Worktops in Dekton, Silestone, Corian, Systemo, stone and timber are templated once the cabinetry is in and fitted by us. Blanco sinks, Quooker boiling taps and AEG appliances are supplied, fitted and commissioned as part of the job - we are an AEG Registered Gold Partner.

We also carry the electrics, plumbing, plastering, flooring and decoration, which is usually the difference between a job that runs to a programme and one that stalls waiting on trades. One contact from first drawing to handover.

Glasgow kitchen questions

Do you charge extra to install a kitchen in Glasgow?
No. Glasgow and the surrounding west are covered as standard from our Edinburgh base, with no travel surcharge on design, survey or installation.
Can I get a Glasgow kitchen designed without visiting Edinburgh?
Yes. Upload plans, a floor plan or rough measurements and we will design and quote remotely, then survey the room in person before anything is ordered. Plenty of clients only visit the showroom once, or not at all.
Who actually fits the kitchen?
Our own installation team, with the qualified electricians, plumbers and gas engineers we work with continuously. We do not hire local labour per job.
Do you fit kitchens in Glasgow tenement flats?
Regularly. Stair access, delivery timing, floor levels and out-of-square walls are all covered at survey stage, and cabinetry is scribed to the room rather than forced into place.
What does a kitchen cost in Glasgow?
The same bands as the rest of central Scotland - our Scottish kitchen cost guide sets out realistic figures by kitchen size and specification. We quote line by line so you can compare it against any other Glasgow quote.
How long does the whole process take?
Design usually takes a few weeks of back and forth. From order, expect around 5-6 weeks before installation, and two to four weeks on site depending on how much building work is included.
